About the work
At odds with “degenerate” modern society, a longtime keyholder of the orangery spits on moral norms and starts offering illegal nighttime tours. However, together with the tour participants, he discovers a life he never expected to exist. We are taken on a nocturnal audiovisual journey in which the flora, stage technology, and the actor together awaken something we do not know and that has been asleep for a very long time.
It’s much closer to the logic of “Stranger Things” rather than a traditional stage production, because two layers interact here: our everyday life — who we are here and now — and what we cannot see with our eyes or hear with our ears.

Miracles and mysteries operate as if they were a unified machine, while the intimacy feels like a stand-alone dramaturgical layer. This is the essence of site-specific theater — the audience is given access to an already existing, independent world
